The Open Admin downloads have been updated to the R8 (Sept2) release.

The telephone repair man was here today to fix noise on my main download line. A very loose wire that is now fixed means much more reliable connectivity. Also, I should have R8 ready to go tomorrow. Lots of special education fixes, etc.

Methodius Dusyk has provided some batch files and outline for installation of OA on a windows server. Not for newbies....

There are more bugfixes in the updates area for 4.75. Today a fix for test addition in the gradebook, when no tests and nothing in subject mark scheme, it would not update the mark scheme. There are some other scripts that had small typos due to changes to the staff password field from 'passwd' to password, and a few others due to the new staff tables scheme which stores positions, etc. in a separate table. These fixes are in the updates area for 4.75. These will also go into the latest 4.75 release R8 or R9.

There was a large bug in the central database setup file (blank475.sql) since it created tables without autoincrement id values. Bad, Bad, Bad.

There is a new download that has a new blank475a.sql file. Then use the studentall475.sql file to create the studentall view table.
This is part of the R6 (Release 6) release.

There are still a few more bugs to fix for this week, and more will surface as secretaries are starting in school this week, here.
